The Indonesian Regional Science Association (IRSA) in collaboration with Bogor Agricultural University invites graduate students, scholars, and practitioners to submit papers to be presented in the Second IRSA International Institute. Potential topics include but are not limited to: Regional Development and the Global Financial Crisis, Regional Competitiveness and Investment Climate, Fiscal Decentralization and Regional Economic Growth, Poverty and Interregional Disparities, Interregional Trade, Central and Local Governments Relationship, Agriculture and Rural Development Policy, Food Policy, Political Economics of General Election and Regional Development, and Public Governance and Regional Development. The papers are presented in English.
On the first day of the event there will be workshops on new tools for regional analysis. IRSA has invited an international lecturer to lead a workshop on Panel Data Analysis. Discussions in the workshops will be held in Indonesian language. IRSA also welcomes those who are interested in offering other topics in the workshops.
On the second and third days there will be special sessions for six keynote speeches by prominent scholars and experienced practitioners, as well as eight lectures by professors from world class universities. In the paper sessions 64 slots for presentations are available.
